We are so excited that you are considering joining us for our wedding! We thought long and hard about how to have a wedding here on Maui that might be comfortably within reach for our friends and family to join us without requiring a resort experience/resort pricing. We decided that Camp Olowalu offered the best of all worlds (except the resort experience – if that is your preference, we have resort and hotel recommendations at the end of this page) and it also happens to be one of our favorite places to stay on the shore.

We know there is a lot of information to absorb here. We invite you to e-mail either Geoff or ‘Ilima if you have questions ahead of sending in your RSVP form. E-mail Geoff  •  E-mail Ilima

We have pre-reserved all of the following accommodations (look below the map) for Friday 2/16 through Monday morning 2/20. Please look at the options and decide what will be best for your family. We are asking that you give us 1st, 2nd & 3rd choices. We will try and get everyone their first choice if possible but may have to get creative depending on what everyone’s first choice is. We will be giving priority to those traveling from off island and hope that our Maui Ohana can graciously understand this.

The 6 A-frame cabins are also reserved for Thursday 2/15 so for anyone wanting to come early that could be an option for Thursday night. Just let us know)*

Extra Nights at Camp Olowalu

If you would like to stay at Camp Olowalu before or beyond our wedding dates, you can reserve directly with Camp Olowalu. Our suggestion is to let us know your preferred shelter (Cabins, Tentalow, Family Tentalow or Campsite), and once we assign your spot you can try to reserve that same site or a similar one for your extra days there.

The 6 A-frame cabins are also reserved for Thursday 2/15, so for anyone wanting to come early that could be an option for Thursday night – Just let us know)*

The A-frame cabins are typically booked well in advance and must be booked as a whole (meaning all 6 of them), so your options beyond Sunday night would be a Tentalo or tent camping. All are quite close so moving from one to another is not hard.

Hotels & Resorts

Napili Kai Beach Resort

We often stay here when we want a ‘staycation’. Geoff has professional relationships with this resort and you can email Melissa Simpson here to see about the dates you want to book . Please use “Geoff Moore’s Wedding” in the subject line – she will try to accommodate the best deals she can on our behalf. It is about 25 minutes beyond Olowalu on the west side of Maui. It has a pool and hot tub and a great onsite restaurant. It is located on a lovely ocean front bay and has access to the Kapalua, oceanfront walking trail and is nearby lots of restaurants, etc.

Other Resorts and Hotels

We like the below resorts and hotels, but there are many other options on Maui. We suggest staying near Lahaina or North Kihei, as these areas are closest to Olowalu. We have done some quick research, and find that booking some of these through kayak.com and other hotel websites is actually cheaper than booking directly. Ka‘anapali is a much faster/easier drive with less traffic possibilities. If booking online for hotels please be advised that the cheapest options are typically in Kahului, and are not where you want to be… all but the new airport Marriott are not very nice, and are not in desirable vacation area’s. The Airport hotel is just that in town besides the airport and not close to Olowalu.

Kaanapali Beach Hotel
Located on a beautiful white sand beach about 15-20 minutes from Olowalu. It’s a locals favorite.

Hyatt Regency Maui

Located on a shallow but nice sand beach this hotel has some built in fun for kids at the pools and has come recommended to us.

Pioneer Inn Lahaina

The closest and most historic hotel on this list. It’s located right in the heart of Lahaina town across from the marina and the famous large Lahaina tree. There is a pool and old world charm in the hustle and bustle of Lahaina town which might be fun for those that like a more urban environment to enjoy.
